The game takes place in the city of McBurg. And for every solution, you will be rewarded with coins! Find all solutions in a level to get the gold prize and some extra coins! You can use them to unlock new levels! Also, everyone loves coins, right? They're shiny and golden and spinning! No reason not to have some more! McPixel is not all about just saving the day but having fun trying to come up with the craziest possible solutions. Ranging from racing, shooting, fighting, and sports to even platforming or FPS! The game offers over 20 minigames scattered around the world of McPixel! Sometimes, the usual adventure style will get interrupted by genre-bending minigames. Stuck in a flaming house? Sandwiched between two battling armies? Certainly not a problem for McPixel! 100 levels of fast-paced action are waiting for you! Sometimes you need to win an impossible-to-win soccer match, and the other, you're a dinosaur trying to hide from a meteorite. One moment you're stuck in a speeding train headed towards the cliff the other, you're in a falling plane. It's McPixel! A wanna-be hero who keeps getting mixed up in the most unbelievable situations you can imagine. If you like hidden object games, Mirrors of Albion is one of the better ones around but don't be fooled into thinking it's free - you'll end up spending quite a lot to actually get anywhere.Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It's falling too fast to be either of those. Note that on iOS, iPad1 and iPhone 3GS users are out of luck - Mirrors of Albion only works on iPad2 or iPhone 4 and above. You can exchange crystals for progress and energy points but you simply can't collect enough to play the game at a reasonable speed. The sheer number of objects you need to collect is quite overwhelming though and purchasing hints, combined with purchasing points, mean Mirrors of Albion can end up costing a lot to play.
Some parts can be extremely difficult to work out, but you can purchase hints to help you.
The animations in Mirrors of Albion are excellent and the hidden object gameplay is quite challenging. Mirrors of Albion follows a standard hidden object game format although if you're unfamiliar with the genre, an extensive tutorial takes you though how to play the game. It takes a long time to build up the points you need to progress which pushes you into purchasing different things to open-up new locations and other items within the game. The aim is to earn experience points in order to access new places and buildings in order to uncover evil plans of the Queen although this is the major drawback of the game. There's also "Foggy Albion" to explore - a parallel city full of thieves and extra puzzles. Along the way, you'll meet various characters from Lewis Carroll's classic books plus new ones as you take on London's underworld and gather clues along the way.
